A New Blog Is Born Online Finally All The Way From Antigua.

Okay so you can clearly see that this blog is not exactly new since I do have two old blog posts here dating back all the way from 2017. However I do want to develop the habit of writing and posting on a blog consistently. This is the not the first blog I have built. But I abandoned them way too easily and I want to take the necessary steps to break that habit and replace it with blogging consistently.

The fact that I have a lot to say, is why I need to keep this blog alive. My head if filled with too many ideas and I need the right outlet to release them.

But the sad thing is I keep posting on forums and in the comment section of YouTube videos and other’s people’s blog. Therefore I’ve always been the follower and not the one other people follow. That is something I want to work on changing this year.

Also I hate when I find a blogger or a fan fiction writer that I fall in love with their writing and then they take a permanent hiatus. That bugs the hell out of me.

Hopefully I don’t follow in their footsteps by abandoning this blog ever again. I just need to take one small step at a time to get me there.

Speaking of small steps, another decision I have made is to keep my blog posts short as well unless I really have to dive deep into the topic.

The thing that has kept me away from blogging is in my mind, I was insisting that if a blog post is not at least 1,500 words long, then it is not worth writing it.

Where I got this delusional idea from is beyond me.

My new online friend Judy Lunsford is showing me otherwise. You can find her blog right here. Her blog posts are short, sweet and straight to the point. Love that.

For those of you who have no clue where Antigua is on the map of the world, it is a small island located in the Caribbean.

Trust me, Antigua is just a small dot on the world map. I would not be surprised at all that you have never heard of it or the Caribbean for that matter.

Hopefully you do know where the Caribbean is or at least have heard about it.

If you ever feel inclined to support me, you can find the books I have self-published under my name here on this page. Thanks.

That’s all I want to say for now. But I have a whole lot to say, so keep on coming back here for new updates. See you in my next blog post.

This blog post was inspired by Lindsay Buroker’s blog post called A New Blog Is Born…

  1. Hey! I understand where you're coming from. The best piece of advice I got when starting Musings in the Dark 11 years ago was to figure out who I was/am as a blogger. And that frees me up to write about anything I want.

Leave your negativity at the door. It is not welcomed here. The only comments I will approve are the ones that are relevant to the post blog. Have a great one.
